Which piece?
Start with what you're after. Most people recognise themselves in one of these.
| What you're after | Which piece |
|---|---|
| You want a little more through the crown | Bijou, Silhouette or Signature |
| You want more through the top and sides | Bijou, Silhouette or Signature |
| You want more density all over | Silhouette or Signature, dependent on whether you want to add length |
| You want to wear your hair up | Silhouette or a smaller silk |
| You want noticeably longer hair | Signature |
The range at a glance
| Piece | Details |
|---|---|
| Bijou | 3 × 5" base, mono or silk, 12 to 16" Our smallest and lightest piece From £649 |
| Silhouette | 5 × 6" or 6 × 6.5" base, mono or silk, 12 to 16" Less coverage than Signature, hair up and warm weather From £749 |
| Signature | 8 × 8" base, silk, 14 to 24" Most coverage, adding length, glamour From £1,199 |
Adding length
From the centre of your crown, measure down to where your hair ends now, then to where you'd like it to end. The gap between those two numbers is what you're buying.
Two inches or more, and you want a Signature.
Worried a bigger base means more hair?
A larger base doesn't mean a great mound of hair. It's the same hair, spread more evenly, which is exactly why a larger piece often looks more natural, not more obvious.
Colour matters more than size
Nobody spots a topper because it was big or small. They spot it because the shade was slightly off. That's why we ask for daylight photographs before we discuss pieces.
Worth thinking about before we speak
- Why now. A gradual change, or an occasion coming up.
- Whether your hair may change. Post-partum, thyroid or medication-related thinning often shifts over months.
- How you'll wear it. Every day or occasionally. Hair up or down.
- Your colour. Whether you colour it, and when it was last done.
- Your timeframe. If there's a date in the diary, tell us at the start.
